Q: How do I become an umpire
A: The British Pétanque Umpires Board (BPUB) runs courses for candidates and existing umpires.
Each course is run with the co-operation of the host Nation, in this case the English Petanque Association.
The BPUB recommend that in the first place you contact your regional umpire who will help you to prepare for the course and examination.
As soon as you both feel that you are ready your regional umpire should enrol you on a course.
